The Star, 9 Feb 2011:

An illegal dumping site in Sungai Kertas, Batu Caves will soon be confiscated by the Gombak district land office for misuse of land.

Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) public relations and corporate planning director Mohamad Zain Masoad said the land, which has been used for illegal dumping for five years, would be confiscated because the area was meant for agriculture.

“The land office is now in the process of confiscating the land,” said Zain during a visit by Selangor state secretary Datuk Mohd Khusrin Munawi to inspect a few areas.
